Our seminar this morning for Business Owners was a great success. It covered planning opportunities for business owners and their families.

A retiring business owner once said that he wished he had looked after his own affairs as well as he had looked after his Companies.

Today was all about helping business owners to plan for the things that might happen to them or their business (incapacity due to a temporary illness like stress, depression or a stroke or due to a long term condition) and things they need to prepare for such as retirement planning and business continuity on their death.  We talked in detail about the importance of wills and lasting powers of attorney. Unless you have appointed an attorney the disruption to your business can be catastrophic and without proper provisions on death your family and the business will suffer. The good news is that you can take action so that you put the proper protection in place.

It was a very informal seminar which meant that everyone was able to contribute and ask questions.

Fiona Monson of Solvency Solutions said “Good balance of timing and level if presentation”  and Kerri Godfree of RLH Developments Ltd said “Brilliant – Really helpful. Thank you!”
