How much will making a Will cost?
Our fixed fee charges are based on the preparation and signing of a standard Will, which is approved by you with no more than minor amendments.
Standard Single Will £300 plus VAT (total £360)
Standard Mirror Wills £450 plus VAT (total £540)
Factors affecting our fixed fee quote:-
The fixed fees quoted are assuming that the Will is of standard form. An example of this is a Will leaving residuary estate to a spouse and then to children or to one defined beneficiary. If the Will is more complex then we will give you a quote of charges once we have discussed with you your particular circumstances and requirements. Factors making a Will more complex include numerous beneficiaries, complex tax issues or one involving trusts.
Additional fees and disbursements
- A charge of £150 plus VAT will be made if your Will includes a life interest trust or discretionary trust. This charge is in addition to the standard costs above.
- Home visit: The cost of a visit to your home is £25 plus VAT per visit. This cost is only charged if you are able to come into our office but prefer to meet in your home.
- Registration of your Will on the online register of Wills www.certainty.co.uk is £20 including VAT per Will.
