What is TLC?
TLC is total legal care: a business legal service providing cost effective legal advice and insurance protection. It’s a maintenance and breakdown service for the legal risks every business faces.
What can TLC do for my business?
TLC can put an end to many of your business’s unexpected legal bills. It offers the equivalent of an in-house lawyer available to you on demand for all your HR and other legal needs, together with insurance indemnity. If you want to protect the profit on your balance sheet with affordable professional legal services at a fixed monthly cost and to eliminate the potential for large and unexpected legal costs or compensation claims in the future then we recommend this service.
How does TLC work?
We provide you with day to day legal advice on matters covering the running of your business and our service becomes your personalised (and independent) front door to a special new business legal costs insurance. You will be able to call us about any business matter and many aspects will be covered by insurance. And, as we are also authorised to process your claims, you can expect that as long as you follow our advice you should always be covered. What is more, the insurance provides funding for our costs in not only defending claims against you but also to help you pursue many new actions too.
What will be provided under the TLC Scheme?
Under the TLC scheme we will provide you with day to day advice and legal representation covering:
- HR support, including an initial health check ensuring your contracts of employment and policies are up to date and compliant, together with legal representation for employment tribunal claims
- Property protection, including nuisance, trespass and damage claims
- Tax investigations and formal HMRC enquiries
- Contract disputes and litigation support – whether claiming or defending
- Compliance and regulation matters, including criminal charges and Health & Safety prosecutions
The insurance covers the cost of:
- Legal representation to the High Court, if necessary!
- Compensation awards against you such as employment tribunal claims.
- Personal risks of Directors and Officers.
