On Friday the 19th of September, some of our Dawson Hart team took on the challenge of cycling 100km in five hours for our Charity of the Year – St Peter and St James Hospice.
Not only did we smash our target distance by reaching 115km, but we also raised an incredible total of £727 in the process!
Our static, yet scenic, route took us from our Dawson Hart office to the St Peter & St James Hospice shop on the High Street, with a few detours to rack up the distance.
Keeping in spirit with our charity's name, we aimed to take our route through as many roads with ‘Peter’ or ‘James’ in the title; some of these included the St Peter & St James Hospice in Chailey, Saint James’s Street in Brighton, and Peter’s Wood in Haywards Heath.
Throughout the day, we had regular and live check-ins with Ashdown Radio, of which you can listen to some of here! Their support on the day helped us pedal on, atop the exercise bike kindly lent to us by Anytime Fitness.
Following the success of our cyclathon, we’re now turning our focus to our charity Barn Dance on the 10th October!
