As we enter 2026, we’re taking a look back over the past year here at Dawson Hart Solicitors, and we have compiled some highlights to share with you.
We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service, regarding both legal and customer service. So that we can continue to offer such service, in 2025, we saw some new additions to our legal team, including: Stuart Grace, litigation solicitor; Rhiannon Vesey-Holt, private client paralegal; Ellie Brigden, litigation & personal injury paralegal; and Lily Lemoine, marketing assistant – all of whom have fit in with us, and these standards, brilliantly. We were also delighted to promote Jo Claxton and Stefan Banks to our team of Directors.
In terms of fundraising, our Charity of the Year was St Peter & St James Hospice, and we are so pleased to reveal that we raised an incredible £8,885! To raise this money, we hosted and participated in several fundraising events, including our Good Friday Easter Egg Hunt, Cyclathon, and our public favourite – the Barn Dance. With the above amount included, we have calculated that since 2014, Dawson Hart has raised over £57,700 for local charities! Our fundraising team have done an amazing job in organising, marketing, and running these events in order to make them a success, and we are very proud of our achievements.
We also had a full assessment from Lexcel. This is the Law Society’s accreditation which recognises law firms which are committed to legal excellence. We are pleased to say that we passed the assessment with flying colours. We are extremely proud of the high standards that the firm continues to uphold in our areas of practice.
To wrap up the year, we hosted our Christmas Drinks event, at the Soiree Lounge Bar, which saw some of our long-standing clients, business relationships, and friends of Dawson Hart join us for festive celebrations.
Our Charity of the Year for 2026 is the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital, with all funds going to the Pevensey Ward. This charity is very close to our hearts, as one of our colleagues’ partners is currently battling leukaemia, and the Pevensey Ward has been very supportive throughout the process.
You can keep an eye out on our social media and website over the upcoming months for more information on the fundraising events we are hosting, as well as how to participate or donate.
We wish everyone a Happy New Year for 2026, and can’t wait to hopefully see you at some of our events!
